Terms of use

STEAL is a free beta from Auteur. By using it you agree to these terms. Last updated 21 October 2026.

What STEAL does

You paste reels you like. We measure how they are made (the song, the voice, the edit) and learn your taste, per space. STEAL can then write recipes and make faceless reels for you or your brand. We steal techniques, not footage.

What you may send

• Paste links to, or upload, only videos you have the right to send us for measurement. Sending a reel for us to measure does not give you any rights in it.
• Do not send illegal content or anything you are not allowed to share.
• Do not scrape, overload or probe STEAL.

The Instagram bot

@steal.auteurhq is an automated account, not a person. It only reads what you send it and only answers you. Link it to your account with the sign-in link it sends or a code from Settings, and unlink whenever you like. Send it only reels you may send, as above. It is part of the beta and may be off at times.

The reels STEAL makes

A made reel is generated for you from your topic or script. You are responsible for what you publish: check the script, the claims and the rights to any music before you post. Song suggestions name songs only; STEAL does not provide or license music. Generated reels are yours to use, and we keep a copy only until you delete it.

Your own keys

To write a script from a topic or to record a voice, you connect your own Claude and ElevenLabs keys (and optionally Pexels). Those providers bill you directly under their own terms. We encrypt your keys, use them only to make your reels, and you can remove them at any time. Without keys you can still paste your own script and upload your own voiceover.

Free beta and Pro

The free beta has monthly limits: 10 reels, 3 recipes and 3 made reels. A paid Pro plan at $9 a month is planned. It is not open and nothing is charged today. We may change limits, features or price before Pro opens, and we will tell you.

Beta means beta

STEAL is provided as it is. Measurements can be wrong, links can fail, made reels can be imperfect and the service can go down. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. You can stop any time and delete your account in the app.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Auteur is not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using STEAL, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months, which for the free beta is nothing.
